Before proceeding I think you should check some important details for IGNOU BCA/MCA Project or Synopsis Submission
There is synopsis design description for those students who wish to develop MCA BCA project by their own. Whenever you are going to create synopsis for your BCA or MCA you must include following things in your IGNOU Synopsis:
1) Introduction -

b) Fact Finding -
In this section you must mention how you got functional information for your project by following methods:
(i) Interviewing, (ii) Questionnaire, (iii) Onsite Observation
4) Project Category -
Mention category of your project like web or window
5) Software & Hardware Specification -
Specify all the minimum software and hardware requirements of your project.
6) Modular Description -
Define all the modules of your project and must provide modular diagram.
7) Process Logic -
Define all the logic process of yout project.
8) Input & Outputs of the Project -
In this section you should mention what your system requires as input and what will be the respective output.
9) Entity Relationship Diagram(ERD) -
Draw Entity Relationship Diagram for your project.
10) Data Flow Diagram(DFD) -
In this part of project must specify the 3 level of DFD
a) 0-Level DFD
b) 1-Level DFD
c) 2-Level DFD
11) Use Case Diagram -
Here you should specify how the user interacts with the system and must specify pictorial diagram.
12) Data Structure -
This part of MCA / BCA synopsis must contain the overall data structure of the project. It must include table related to each module of project.
13) Testing to be used -
In this section you should include all the testing case you are going to use after or during development phase.
14) System Security -
Include security constratints you have taken or will take.
15) Future scope of the project -
Here you define the scope and what and how you take care of future enhancements of the project.
16) Bibliography -
This section contains list of source you have used to gather information.
